(CLEVELAND – August 8, 2003) – Sherwin-Williams new POWDURA® NSF-61 Certified Powder Coatings address the potable water industry’s need for single-coat, environmentally sound coatings that comply with NSF-61 performance requirements. These high gloss epoxy powder formulations are ideal for valves, fittings, pipes and tanks used to distribute potable water. In addition, the powder coatings can be used for a broad range of interior functional and decorative applications.
POWDURA NSF-61 Certified Powder Coatings meet the stringent requirements of the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) organization while offering excellent hardness and outstanding chemical resistance properties. They cure in five minutes at 400º F and can be applied at film thicknesses ranging from 2.0 to 10.0 mils, providing a solution for producers of valves, fittings, pipes and tanks seeking an alternative to liquid coatings.
Available in five colors (gray, black, clear, red oxide and off-white), POWDURA NSF-61 Coatings are manufactured at Sherwin-Williams NSF-certified powder coatings plant in Arlington, Tex.
