Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings develops new Jet Glo Express™ for air transport market

ANDOVER, Kan. — 3/20/02 — Adding to its highly successful Jet Glo, Acry Glo and Jet Flex products, Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings has developed a new exterior topcoat finish called Jet Glo EXPRESS™ Aerospace Coatings.

Specifically designed for use on all types of aircraft, Jet Glo EXPRESS™ saves on time without sacrificing quality. Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings has spent three years developing Jet Glo EXPRESS, McCarthy says, keeping in mind the needs of the aerospace industry. “Jet Glo EXPRESS™ Aerospace Coatings is very similar chemically to Jet Glo,” McCarthy explains, “but is different in three distinct ways. Its 2:1:1 ratio means it’s easier to mix. It has improved color hiding and coating flexibility. And, this is perhaps the most noticeable difference: we have cut the curing time by nearly a third so that its tape time is achieved in 6 to 8 hours.”
